Strategy 116 [ Sunday 08 November | 3:18pm ]
[Private to Noah]

I feel a bit strange having to ask you this, since I'm also a friend and ought to know these things. But I was wondering if you have any ideas as to what sort of poetry or such Scorpius favours.

It's his birthday on Monday and I was wanting to get him something... and I honestly don't know what he likes. So any help you're able to provide would be appreciated.

Also best of luck in the upcoming match against Hufflepuff.

[/Private to Noah]

It's kind of funny that everyone usually thinks that the Weasley/Potters are such a big family. Well they are, yes. Although compared to mine it's kind of itty bitty. Not counting my parents, aunts, uncles or grandparents; at last count my cousins and I could make up three quidditch teams with two spare players.

Yes, that's how I compare how large familys are. No, it's not weird.

The family is all well. Which is easy enough to find out given half of the family is here at Hogwarts anyway. Last I heard Grandfather Augustus was complaining that Tiberius wasn't looking to settle down anytime soon and produce an heir. The joys of being the eldest male cousin. Apparently Grandfather Oberon was doing similar bout of complaining according to Dad (at least I think it was him, it might've been Aunt Margaret actually...). Something about Katherina needing to find a nice wizard and settle down; and for Olivia and Viola to do the same.

I don't know, I think maybe there's something in the air or the water or their tobacco for them to be all wanting marriage and babies to happen all of a sudden. If it was actually Spring it would make some sense, being the season of new life and all that.

I'm just hoping that my grandfathers don't join forces and start that whole spiel on me anytime soon.

Also, best of luck to Ravenclaw for the upcoming match. Probably won't actually be cheering for you and unless I end up having other plans, I'll be supporting my cousins' and brother's team. Even if it'll leave an ill feeling in my tummy.

I forgot... no, that's a lie. More like I've been completely ignoring it. It's just... a glorious moment of feeling all of five years old and wanting to shout it's not fair. Because it isn't. And maybe that's childish... but I don't care. Everyone just leaves and it's not the same. think the 15th Thursdays are is stupid.

I'm unsure of whether I'll be going to the dance or not. Because it would be just lovely having people talk about how I didn't have a date or didn't dance at all. I shouldn't care what people think... but... I do actually want to to go, but what is the point of going if all I were to do is just sit there. At least there's Quidditch next weekend...

I imagine my life is now complete. Thanks, Maloney.

Don't know what you lot are complaining about. Hugging is much more preferrable than having Eoghan McLaggen kissing you. MUCH MORE PREFERRABLE!

This is Cat

And no I didn't forget to put an 'a' up there. I hope Cat hasn't gone wandering around the castle. She could be meeting up with other cats, and that... I don't need to worry about her having kittens. Also she could've gotten to people's socks, although I haven't found her hoarding any. So that's a good sign.

I know it's somewhat belated but... Welcome to the team Eoghan and Roland, at least officially now anyway. Eoghan better keep his enthusiasm to himself when Slytherin start winning their matches. Next team practice is on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Don't be late!

[Hexed Private]

It's coming up five years since Uncle Titus... died and... I don't know that I ever really got over that. I can't even imagine how Claudius, Antonia, Octavia and Claudia are doing. Claudia probably barely remembers him, being only four at the time. It makes me worry about Daddy a lot though. More than I probably ever worried about Uncle Titus, at least with him we all knew what he was doing. I don't even have a clue as to what Daddy does.

I might go for a run or a ride later. Anything to try and clear my head and I don't want to be seen crying because I'm thinking of Uncle Titus.

[Private to Slytherins Who Were At The Tryouts]

You'll hear sometime before Monday's practice what the official line up will be. Though given someone's excitement it'll be a somewhat moot point to do so.

[/Private to Slytherins Who Were At The Tryouts]

[Private to Norwood]

As the only official Chaser at the moment, I thought it best to inform you of a plan I had regarding the lineup. As you know McLaggen tried out for one of the Chaser spots. But he'll actually be stepping in as our Keeper and I'll be taking up one of the spots along with whomever I eventually choose.

As a secret plan it will unfortunately only work for the Gryffindor match. But I hope believe it'll give us an edge in the match. However even though the surprise won't be there in the other matches, the other teams will have mostly trained to play against a team where I was the Keeper.

I sincerely hope you do not mind the subterfuge at all.
[/Private to Norwood]

[Private to Sibs]

YOU'RE BROTHER SNOGGED ME. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!

Also he's asked me for information about Cressida. I think he's making some potential brides list or something. And he asked me what her strengths and weaknesses are... and... it's too much.
[/Private to Sibs]

I CAN'T BELIEVE HE KISSED ME. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. HE KISSED ME! I feel all... ick... The tryouts were good and I think we'll have a damn good line up this year.

[Private to Slytherins]

Apparently one can't defend themselves when they're being called a liar anymore. And since when is defending oneself egging someone on?

According to Davies the Elder I should've gone to a prefect, one of the heads or a professor. Right, because except the Slytherin prefects, as if any of the others would actually take my side. Not sure what the Professors would've done, but at least their opinion would be less bias than the students.

Fucking ridiculous is what it is.

[Private to Ambrose, Norwood and Scorpius]

Heads up!

As you probably know now tryouts are going to be this Friday during practice. Everyone's got conflicting schedules so it makes the most sense.

There is the formality of having to tryout again. Completely stupid ruling that's never made much sense. So I'd not worry about that, your positions are pretty much guaranteed in my opinion. Anyway, I trust that I can count on you all to keep an eye out on any talent that decides to turn up?

Speaking of, since it is our last year. It thought it might be prudent to make a list of those who didn't make the team or reserve side, but who still possess some talent. With the four of us leaving after this year there'll be some shoes to fill and I'm sure that, like me, you'll want Slytherin to keep a hold of the House Cup.

I believe one or more of my cousins may be trying out. No doubt if they make it the other houses will accuse of nepotism. But then that'd hardly be surprising.

[/Private to Ambrose, Norwood and Scorpius]

[Private]
And Julia's just told me she's planning on trying out as a Beater for Ravenclaw. That'll make matches interesting if she makes the team. At least Maloney seems like the sort to give her a shot despite her being related to the opposition.

Even though we may end up enemies on the pitch, I'm going to wish her the best of luck.
[Private]

Tryouts are upon us. The first match is sometime next month. You going to be up for it, Gryffindor?

Strategy 107 [ Friday 04 September | 12:32am ]
So this year I knew I was going to drop nearly half my classes, since I wanted to focus on the ones required to be a Healer, which I plan on being if the pro quidditch career doesn't pan out. But I honestly didn't realise how much free time I'd end up with. Free time that could be used for extra quidditch practice, studying... or... I don't know. I was looking at my schedule and I only have one class on Tuesdays and Fridays! ONE! Mondays and Wednesdays are going to be busy at least, with three classes; and Thursdays I have two.

Definitely not spending my free time mentoring muggles that's for sure. If all they need to know is how the wizarding world works, just give them a book. It's not as if they can do magic at all!

Does anyone know when Duelling Club starts up again?
